Mexican Grandpas

My parents came to visit us the last week of August and of course Tomas was on a trip for the entire week, so we had to wait until that Friday when he arrived to give my parents a gift we prepared for them with the news - I stole the idea from my friend Patty -.

We printed t-shirts for the grandparents to be with a Mexican flag that read "Mexican Grandpa" & "Mexican Grandma".

Tomas got home around 6pm from a week in Panama and we couldn't wait to tell them.
So in the middle of a non important conversation we have the the gifts, it took them FOREVER to get it. They looked at them and thanked us and put them back in the bags.... Tomas and I were laughing at them until my dad, looking at the t-shirt said something like "But I am not a grandfather"..... and we said, well, now you are going to be one!!!

The tears started to come out from both, I think they liked the news!!! But they had to wait for our 6 weeks appointment at the doctor to tell people. My mom wanted to kill us, but we wanted to make sure everything was fine before spreading the news.
