16 weeks and we have to wait to know the sex for next month...

Today we visited the doctor hoping we can get the news to tell the world the sex of the baby. But of course he or she didn't want to tell us at all what is going to be.
We waited and waited, even moved a little extra the sonogram machine on my stomach and NOTHING!
Poor Tomas, he wanted to know so much the sex of our baby today...

But on the other side, this mom to be is doing good. All blood tests came out perfect and even though I am not gaining weight the doctor said I am fine and even better, the baby is doing fine. Just hiding from mom and dad and being inside of me in the weirdest positions.

The doctor explained like this "this baby has all this room to be but he or she chooses to
put the head in one corner and not show anything else, while the legs are all the way to the other corner...".

One of the arms was all the time up and around the head, like when you are relaxing and have your arms up. Didn't move from that position during the whole time we were there.

Heart beats are at 144 and is about 10 cms long side by now.

This Thursday we go on our "babymoon" and we cannot wait to be relaxing on the beach of Los Cabos, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Reading magazines and enjoying some time together.
Maybe my belly will grow more during these 5 days of vacation. Today in the morning we noticed something like a "bump" for the first time, will see if it is a pregnant belly finally.
Next post will have pictures from Los Cabos.

I have attached a video from Today, it shows the head, the arms on top and part of the body (we were able to see the spine, ribs, heart and something new for us - the stomach). We were not able to see the baby in a full picture this time. Maybe next time....

Explanation of the video:
Sorry but is not the best quality - we have the complete version at home on DVD since week 8 but is way to big to upload.
You will see first the head on the right side, and on top something horizontal - that is the arm and elbow and it moves a little bit.
The rest of the body shows and the white line you see is the spine (the doctor paused the video to measure the baby).
Then all you see is the baby moving around (will tell him or her to move better for next time).
The last part that is a round thing with two lines on the top is the head of the baby, the two lines are the eyes. and he is looking to the top. One arm is on the left side by the "eyes" area.
