32 weeks and counting

This week was our last appointment with the local doctor. This time the DVD worked fine and we have a small video and a couple of "charts" of Adriana.

She weights now 2.1 kgs (4.6 lbs) - a little ahead of the normal size for her "age", but the doctor said is fine. Her head is also a bit bigger than the average as well as her legs...I suppose that comes from the Czech genes...

As usual we found her with her hands on her face and this time even one leg was all the way to her hands. Who knows why she is always on that position. Today she had her head on top and was seating with her butt on the lower part. The doctor said she better move into "position" soon otherwise we will need a c-section to welcome her.

I didn't really gain any weight this time, about half a kg. from last month. I think she gets all the weight which is good for me :)

Here are a couple of pictures from today, the first one shows her head and the size, it also shows how her head is for the size of a 35 week baby...
The next picture shows a chart of her weight, also a little above the average but still within the normal range. The doctor said that in 500 grams more she can be ready to be with us if needed.
Which also made us realize she is going to be with us sooner than expected if she keeps growing like this.


She is supposed to be born on April 27 so will see how she manages to do that. We hope she won't be late - parents are always on time of before time...

Last month my friends Soledad and Annette planned a baby shower for us, it was very nice and Adriana got beautiful gifts that we cannot wait to start using - or learning how to use in some cases. I have included these pictures and the ones my friends from the photo class took of me last week.

I finished my salsa classes right on time because now Adriana doesn't allow me to walk that fast and I get tired faster. I still have one more photo class this week and I will be done with that too. Will post some of those pictures later on.

This Friday will say good bye and see you soon to our friends here and Saturday will start the driving and last part of the pregnancy. We hope to be in Miami by mid week.

Here is the last video of Adriana inside me. Not the best quality but the doctor was showing her face and pointing out her hand and arm. Also, he place two "eyes" to understand better the video and was comparing her forehead with her cheeks, she has really big cheeks....




Next post? From the road - about 2500 kms to go (1600 miles) - plenty of photo opportunities and gas station restrooms to visit...
