Today we took Adri for her 4th month check up and vaccines. She wasn't so happy to be there, now that she is more aware of everything she fought more when the doctor tried to check her eyes and ears. Everything is great with her - she is now weighting 7.3 kgs and 63 cms :) - in Mexican babies she is the size and weight of a 6 months baby.
He checked everything and pointed out how strong she is and how well she keeps her back straight. Eyes, ears, mouth are fine and recommended to keep the only milk diet until the sixth month and then start with solids.
She also got the vaccines for this age - 3 shots and one oral. She was brave enough considering what she went thru with 3 people holding her and trying to sooth her to stop crying. But she cried only there for a couple of minutes and then by the time she got in the car she was already sleeping.
We told the doctor how she grabs everything her hands are able to reach and most of the time she tries to put everything in her mouth. Now she discover two new "toys" - her feet! and she has been playing with them while lying in her back and seating. It is so cute to see those little feet going up and down when she is in her back.
She is trying to go on her side - always the right one, she also started last week to take naps putting her right hand on her mouth but only the two middle fingers and placing her other hand on top...
Still eats every 3 hours and takes really good naps after some "tummy" or playing time.
Next appointment will be in October when she turns 6 months.
