Cerny or Cerna?

Since we are looking for baby names and still soon to know if we are having a boy or a girl, we hope you can vote for your favorites and help us to make a decision.

Did you you know that Czechs have different last names for the babies depending on the sex?
Oh yeah, just to make it a bit more complicated...

If we have a baby girl, her last name will be "Cerna" and if we have a baby boy, his last name will be "Cerny". So keep this in mind when you are voting for the first names.

It's because the Czech language (like other Slavic languages) uses masculine (Cerny) or feminine (Cerna) form of every lastname. It is like in Spanish, Cerny means "negro" (black), and Cerna means "negra".

How about a boy called Billy? This would remind us that nothing is too dark and the world strives for balance. :-))))

Cerny /cher-nee/ = black
Billy /bee-lee/ = white
