Mom to be's turn to shine

We don't have another doctor's appointment/movie premiere until next Friday so I figure this is my time to shine :)

I am ending my second trimester this week and starting February with the last 3 months of the pregnancy and for Adriana's arrival.

Some facts about her (I think it will be impossible to shine on my own...)
  • By now - week 27 - she is already listening to mom and dad talk and she can tell who is who by the tone of the voice. But is more like what you would hear underneath the water.
  • She looks like a thinner, smaller, redder version of what she will look like at birth.
  • She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes.
  • Her footprints and fingerprints are also formed.
  • And of course she kicks during the entire day, mostly mornings when I am pushing her as I try not to sleep on my belly - she wins and makes me move at the end. She also likes to kick when we are watching Law and Order.
Now, back to mom to be...
I am taking salsa classes - tried the yoga prenatal and it is not for me - but don't think I am dancing nonstop, I signed up for a class that seems to be for "grandmas" so is slow enough for Adriana and good enough for me to be able to enjoy it and do some exercise at the same time, also we do some stretching at the beginning and at the end that we really enjoy. I will try to keep it to once a week for next month.
Also I will start my photo class next week and I am happy that at least I will be able to take half semester instead of not doing it. This semester will learn macro and portraits, will see how that goes.

My big project for February is to finish Adriana's room, we have a lot to do and buy but I think we have enough time. This weekend we are getting the crib and some decoration stuff.

I have a couple of ideas and projects ready to start as soon as I get all the supplies, you will see pictures once is finished. We are not using any "cartoon" or "TV" characters for her. All we are working on for her has to do with animals, pictures and languages. She needs to learn Spanish, Czech and English at the same time so the earlier the better. I hope to learn Czech as she does, in the meantime I am getting better on playing Czech cards with Tomas.

We created a gift registry with Target - the information is on the right top area of the blog. Shipments will go to Monica's house.

I finally took some pictures of my growing belly last week and here are some of those.

Until next Friday :)
