February 2009 - Update

This month has been full of activities for us, between the salsa classes, photography classes and going out to take pictures. I have been away for the blog with no much to post until now.

We visited the doctor on the 6th, but this time we were a bit disappointed when the video we got didn't open in any computer or dvd player at home. Also because the doctor was more into Tomas' job than into Adriana.

Still, we were able to see her, with her arms up as usual, this time with her hands open - like asking for money to go shopping - we also saw her yawning a couple of times, it is so funny and make us realize how much of a "real" person she is inside of me... As far as size she is growing fine and at that time she was weighting 1.4 kgs (double from last time). But the doctor didn't show us a much as other visits this time...

I am finally gaining weight - now I have to take it easy and don't get more than a kilogram per month. Also I need to get more iron in my blood because the last test came out one point below the average.

We have our last appointment with this doctor on March 3 before we start our trip to Miami. Will take an extra DVD just in case. This will be the last video of Adriana before we meet her in person. Only a couple months from now...

She kicks the entire day and now we can feel what we think is her head on top of my belly button. We can also see how my belly moves from one side to the other from time to time. But also I am getting the back pain almost everyday, but still manageable.

This weekend we finished with Adriana's room, well, almost finished. By now we are missing only the chair and the bedding set for the bed we have in that room that will be used as a big couch...But as far as the decorations are finally ready for her arrival. I painted the animals with the names in Czech, English and Spanish and also the tree by her crib. It was fun to make all these for her. Hopefully she will like them.

I painted the animals with water colors and wrote the names in the languages she will have to start her life with...poor her!

This is actually us recycling our bookshelves from Miami, they are the perfect size for the changer cushion.

This is still a work in progress, we need the grandpas' and uncles' pictures to finish this frames.

This is also a work in progress, we cannot finish until Adriana is with us and ready for her first pictures. Either she will love or hate the camera with her annoying mom taking pictures of her all the time...
This is the tree I painted for her, it took me about a week because I got to go up in the ladder for the leaves, not easy with a growing belly. But I think Tomas is still surprise of the final work. We wasn't too much into this idea but now he likes it.

Another view from the tree and frames, we bought the crib at target and were really surprise of the great price and quality of it. It is a GRACO espresso crib that can be use as a bed later on.
