First day in the pool with dad and mom

Today we decided to start Adri's "swimming" classes. First we visited our friend Sofia for delicious breakfast and meeting another baby so Adri can start making little baby friends. She did fine but was time for nap so they only socialize for a couple of minutes and at the end for a picture.

After that we rush to the gym to change her and be ready to get into the water. They said it was 30 degress in C. but it wasn't that - it was a bit colder, Adri got in ther shaking a little bit but then did pretty good. We are so proud of her because we are always doing new stuff with or to her and she doesn't cry. Today it was the same, we were in the pool for about half hour and even though she didn't smile, she was able to do all the games and not cry.

We worked the legs and moving them across the pool back and forward, then we had to go with some toys making noises and splashing so she gets used to the sounds and water everywhere. At the end we were just talking to her and passing some water thru her head so she gets the feeling. She won't get complete in the water yet - I thing because of her ears. At the end we cover the baby pool on her stomach and back playing with her legs and me holding her the entire time. The instructor was surprise to see how good she did for her short age. He mentioned she is the youngest in the baby group - the youngest after her is 7 months.

I will take her on Tuesday and see if there are more babies, today it was only the 2 of us with daddy - I think is the best for her when she sees also daddy at the gym with her.

For me it was so stressfull because I had to carry her from the dressing room down to the pool, then change her and try to get all the water from the pool and all that. She got hungry so started to cry in the dressing room but I think for being the first time for me doing all this I was able to survive. Of course I got a headache and was able to excersize only for 20 minutes after that. Next time I will do the opposite, bring her to the nursery - excersize and then take her to the pool.

Here are a couple of pictures from this morning. Now we are going to have lunch from one of our favorite places - paninis and crepes!!! well deserve~~~ and Adri? Well, after finishing all her milk she is enjoying a good nap.

Wow you're starting her early. That's great. I want to get Sophie into some swimming classes here seeing how much she loved the water in Tobago.

Love Adri's new little doll. So sweet.
