One week to become three

Last Thursday we had the last ultrasound, just to confirm that Adriana will be doing whatever she pleases in life... She was still seating with her arms and legs all the way up by her head. Who knows, maybe one day she will be at the Olympics for gymnastics or be part of Cirque de Soleil...

We were able to see her face on 4D and as usual she was sleeping, yawning and didn't want to move her hand out of her left side of her face. But this time we were able to see her looking more like a person. Will see next week how much she will look compare to the picture. So far big cheeks and sleepy girl.

She is weighting between 6.9 and 7 pounds by this past Thursday, her heart beat is 160 bpm. Mom to be is weighting 158 pounds (Peruvian and Cuban food - so delicious!!!)

PS: This was week 36 - now, almost week 38 my belly has gone considerable low and bigger....

After the ultrasound we went to the doctor to confirm what we new for a while, she will be born after a c-section. At least we know when and more and less what time. Please mark your calendars and blackberries for APRIL 17, 2009.

In the meantime, I hope to make it to that date, I am so big by now and she kicks so much that she may want to come earlier at the end. Will see next week.

Tomas came back to stay with us last Wednesday and since then we were doing all the pending shopping we had for Adriana. Now we have what we need at least for the time we will be here. After that who knows!!!

Here a couple of pictures of our "training days" with Monica's kids.

On Monday I took the 3 of them and two of their friends to see the movie Aliens vs Monsters. It was so much fun, first time I saw a 3D movie. They all behaved pretty good and I think the parents were more worried of me taking all of them alone than the kids. We had a great time and then we had "pollito a la brasa" at home.

Mica, Sebas, Mariana, Ale and Sergio after the movie - hungry and ready for "pollito a la brasa"

Tomas on the other side had his first encounter with video games in the 21st century and became a kid with Sebas, Mica and Mariana at playing tennis with their nintendo wii. Since he came back Sebas has been recruiting Tomas to play every morning. Now we are seriously thinking about it, but maybe we will wait until Adriana can play with us to get it.

Mica, Tomas, Sebas and Mariana playing doubles...

Well, the wait will be over sooner than expected and by Friday will be a whole different story with our postings. You can meet Adriana and our adventures with her. I hope to post her pictures the same day - it will all depends on how well I react to the anesthesia and the recover from my first surgery in life.

Will keep you all posted - we already check that we get wi-fi at the hospital...

For the ones who can come to visit us at the hospital (Mercy Hospital), here is a map to get there and a map of the hospital. Visit hours are from 9am to 9pm and I should be there until Sunday around noon. After that we will be at Monica's house.

To get to the Maternity area you need to take the elevator A and then go to second floor and cross the east wing to the elevator B, then 5th floor. Same will be to go out of the building.
Parking is on your left when you enter the hospital and is 3 dollars for the day.

Until April 17...
